Take action for fair treatment of lesbian and gay asylum seekers

Following the positive UK Supreme Court judgment which ruled that gay and lesbian asylum seekers should not be forced to return to countries which persecute them and hide their sexuality, Refugee Action is calling for the Home Office to change their practice and give gay and lesbian asylum seekers a fair hearing.

Refugee Action?s poll for Refugee Week shows that the majority of refugees and asylum seekers feel the average British person welcomes them. Those interviewed for this first-ever Ipsos Mori survey about life in Britain also said they are big admirers of the Queen, Princess Diana and David Beckham.
